I do not recollect the time since I got to know Vasu but our interaction increased after we became the office bearers of KAPSW (now KSAPSW). I always admired his patience, unassuming, simple and humble nature. In spite of his busy work schedule, he ensured he responded whenever reached out. I perceived him to be cool and composed despite several adverse situations coming his way as the President of KAPSW and he sounded positive and confident in myriad situations when the existence of KAPSW was threatened. No one can deny his resilience, one of the rare attributes one is gifted with, because of which he has succeeded in keeping KSAPSW afloat. I shall always cherish the camaraderie we had as KAPSW office bearers.  

Where Vasu’s professional commitment is concerned, sincere appreciation for sustaining his passion all these years in the area of Child Rights. It is noteworthy that he is an authority on issues relating to child rights and a well-known figure among NGOs working in the domain of child rights. His passion takes him to different corners of Karnataka & other parts of Bharat to organise workshops, seminars, capacity building training sessions,  to educate, sensitise, and orient community people with the concerns around the issue of child rights. Am sure he must be encountering numerous challenges when reaching out to various stakeholders in the community especially when and where there is resistance to discontinue some of the age-old traditional practices which still strive but are detrimental to the community, families and children who bear the brunt of some of the social evils which still prevail in the society. Becoming a voice for the voiceless is a herculean task but I am sure Vasu has in the past made sincere efforts and will continue to leave no stone unturned to make the community a better place for the child to live in. 

On the occasion of an important milestone of completing 60 years on this earth, I wish and pray God showers His choicest blessings on Vasu to have a healthy & peaceful long life to pursue his ambition in both personal and professional life in days to come.
